About Me

Hello, I’m Becky Ladd, owner of Corn Patch Quilting, proudly based in Dallas Center, Iowa.

Quilting has been part of my life for many years, beginning at my kitchen table making quilts for family and close friends. What started as a heartfelt way to create meaningful, handmade gifts quickly became a true passion. Over time, my skills, experience, and love for the craft grew — along with the encouragement of those who trusted me with their treasured projects.

Today, I specialize in professional longarm quilting. My goal is always the same: to deliver beautiful, high-quality work that you’ll be proud to display, gift, or pass down for generations.

Living in Dallas Center has greatly influenced my style and values. I believe in hard work, attention to detail, and treating every client like a neighbor. Each quilt that comes through my studio is handled with care, clear communication, and a commitment to craftsmanship.

When I’m not in my quilting studio, you’ll likely find me spending time with my dog, Buddy, who keeps me company (and occasionally supervises) while I work.

Corn Patch Quilting Pricing Information

I charge by the square inch for quilting. It will cost you $0.02 per square inch. So if your quilt measures 60”x 80” the total square inches would be 4800”. Multiply that by 0.02 and you get $96. The cost includes the batting, the thread and your choice of pantograph. If you include fabric for the binding, I will attach the binding for you at no extra charge.

The batting is Hobbs 80/20, which I buy as a roll. If you want something different you’ll need to provide it.

I offer multiple thread choices for the quilt but mostly recommend white, cream or light gray. I find those colors blend in better and don’t distract from the beauty of most quilts. The thread I use almost exclusively is Glide thread. For pantographs, I have several hundred on my Intelliquilter you can choose from.

I will add the binding if provided and requested. I attach it by machine sewing to the quilt. This is also included in the $0.02/ per square inch cost.
